Once again no pics! Pioneer Woman Salad...
I forgot to take a pic, but I made a yummy Spinach Salad for dinner the other nite. The recipe came from the Pioneer Woman. YUM!! I gotta say, even she forgot to take pictures of the salad.

Pancakes on a Stick...
I have seen these in the fast food world. And never wanted anything to do with them. We eat pancakes from scratch and there is
nothing better! I saw The Pioneer Women
on Saturday, and she made these. Pancakes on a Stick
They
looked delicious! So I decided to make
them. Actually my hubby makes the
pancakes around here and they are world famous! So he made our regular homemade batter—one batch with soy milk – for the
milk free kid, and a double batch for the rest of us. Here's the recipe:
Pancakes
½ - ¾ cup milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 egg
beat lightly in
bowl then add:
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
½ tsp salt
mix – add more
milk if too thick, cook…for the pancakes on a stick, use less milk...
I have no pics, because I don't run with a camera and my daughter, who does run that way, didn't bring her camera...Anyway, onward and upward! We browned the sausage, and put them on the
chop sticks that we used as skewers. Then dipped them with a nice thick coat. Next, into the fryer! Since it’s not officially fried food season,
we used the small fryer. We get out the
outside propane fryer during fried food season.
It doesn’t take very long and they are done. Mmmmm, yummy goodness!
These are really bad cell phone pics-- but the pancakes were soooo good!

Yippee! A T-Shirt Quilt!
My daughter in law gave me her old t-shirts about 3 years ago so I could make her a t-shirt quilt. I finally got around to it for her birthday. I have made four of them and have improved—here’s how I do it now. (that’s what she said.) Anyway, find the largest pic on a shirt.
Then sew the shirts. I serged mine, but this is the first one that I serged. This is where the pic comes in—I always get the shirts out of order, and have to refer to the pic. Then I sew the rows.
This quilt, I used no batting, but used a fleece throw for the back. My dil loves zebra, so zebra it is! I machined tied the front and back. It is sooo nice, comfy and warm!
Mar all hunkered under the quilt!!
Then add one inch on each side.
This is how wide to cut all
of the shirts. I use my handy dandy
rotary cutter and rulers. I also use
that blue tape to mark my cutting board so I don’t have to measure and
think.
It’s not an exact science—they’re t-shirts for heavens’ sake! Then I just cut one inch longer than the top and bottom—just whatever size the pic is.
I then line the shirts up—in rows, top to
bottom, trying to not get the same color together. Take a break, take a pic, then look at it
again to see if you like the arrangement.
Try to balance up the bottom to be the same.

Meanwhile....
Sooo, what makes the whole blog disappear? I was almost finished, and it went blank!
Anyway, I'm still waiting on a pic to share my last project, so on to something else!
My granddaughter had her ninth birthday, and pinned her cake to her Mom's Pinterest. Doesn't it look delish? My beef with Pinterest is that it doesn't lead me directly to the recipe. Anyway I googled it and found the recipe. ***Ha, I saved it so it can't leave!***
The recipe was easy enough, but we were disappointed in the whole cheesecake. It's like when you go to a restaurant and the desserts look so good, but taste just average! Here's what mine looked like..
Fabulous looking! If I make it again, I would use half of the crust, and maybe more filling. Here is a pic of the birthday girl with her mom.
The doll had an accident that resulted with a broken leg, arm, finger and a wrapped elbow. It's always fun!
